‘Dawg Pounded’ Returns To Offers Comedic Therapy and Hope for Frustrated Browns Fans
Original comedy play returns for a 3rd season with even more hilarity, songs and insight for Browns fans.
“Dawg Pounded” returns for its third season at Vosh Club in Lakewood, Ohio. This comedic production, written by long-time Browns’ fan and Cleveland native, Tim Tyler, features a cast who present an amusing look at the tortured history of Cleveland Browns’ fans. The play tells the story of two die-hard Browns’ fans who must cope with the ups and downs of a typical season and many of the low lights in Browns’ history! In addition to enduring the chaos on the field, they suffer the slings of outrageous taunting from their chief nemesis, Pittsburgh Pete, as they watch the games at their local sports bar.
The play includes a number of parody songs sung to such tunes as “Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall In Love),” “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Johnny Angel”, and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” The play is a therapeutic examination of what it means to be a Browns’ fan – the torment, the doubt, and the disappointment, all wrapped up in a package of hope and optimism that, one day, it will all be worth it.
Dawg Pounded – A comedy of heartbreak and hope. Mostly heartbreak.
