Dawg Pounded is back for 2018!
“Dawg Pounded” returns to Cleveland (after its 2-year run at Playhouse Square) and makes its Vosh premiere, August 30th, for its third hilarious season of providing therapy to long-suffering Browns’ fans. This comedic production, written by long-time fan and Cleveland native, Tim Tyler, features Cleveland's own, THE BONE LADY, and a cast who present an amusing look at the tortured history of Cleveland football and its followers. The play tells the story of Paul and Otto, two die-hard fans, who must cope with the ups and downs of a typical season and many of the low lights in Browns’ history! In addition to enduring the chaos on the field, they suffer the slings of outrageous taunting from their chief nemesis, Pittsburgh Pete, as they watch the games at their local sports bar.
The play includes a number of parody songs sung to such tunes as “Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall In Love),” “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” The play is a therapeutic examination of what it means to be a Browns’ fan – the torment, the doubt, and the disappointment, all wrapped up in a package of hope and optimism that, one day, it will all be worth it.
